A fictional family album that highlights the diversity within the Asian community.
Recognizing the gap in comprehensive Asian representation in pop culture, this project curates a collection of film stills from various Asian movies worldwide, showcasing the diversity within Asian communities and their collective memory of home.
MANIFESTO
I think I might be living between fake memories.
Stories, dreams, fantasies,
homes that might have existed.
Finding home,
in newspaper,
in google map,
in passport stamps,
in the uhaul boxes shipped from coast to coast,
in the postcard that traveled across the ocean,
in FaceTime chat across different time zones,
in family’s recipes,
in the film clips,
in mother tongue,
in the new home built on a foreign land.
